Why a Faulty Automatic Door Shouldn't Wait
A broken automatic door is rarely just an inconvenience.
Security. A door stuck open leaves your premises exposed overnight and may affect your insurance position.
Safety and compliance. Powered pedestrian doors in the UK are covered by BS EN 16005 and the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008. A door with failed safety sensors can close on a person. As the building operator, the duty to keep that door safe sits with you.
Accessibility. Under the Equality Act 2010, an automatic entrance that no longer opens may leave disabled visitors unable to access your building.
